Arjo Sara Stedy sit-to-stand aid

$200/month +hst

Helps a single caregiver perform sit-to-stand transfers throughout the day.

It is a non-powered patient handling aid designed to assist individuals with limited mobility in transitioning from a sitting to a standing position, often used in healthcare settings and homes to help with transfers, such as moving from a bed to a chair, toilet, or washbasin.

Features and Benefits

  • Promotes early mobilization: It encourages patients to be active during transfers, which can help improve circulation, breathing, digestion, and muscle tone.

  • Single caregiver operation: It allows one caregiver to assist patients with sit-to-stand tasks, simplifying everyday transfers.

  • Non-powered design: Always ready to use and doesn’t rely on batteries or power cables.

  • Ergonomic design: It features a pivoting seat that moves out of the way for standing and provides angled seated support during transfers. It also has a knee pad for support and a crossbar handle that allows patients to pull themselves up.

  • Adjustable and versatile: Designed to accommodate patients of various heights and weights (up to 182 kg or 400 lbs). There’s also a “Compact” version for smaller patients. Its adjustable legs allow access to a wide range of seating.

  • Safety features: It includes secure footplates, non-slip surfaces, and easily accessible brakes for stability during transfers.

The Sara Stedy is designed for patients 149-193 cm (4’11”-6’6”) tall and weighing up to 181 kg (400 lbs.), while it’s Compact version is designed for smaller patients, 138-172 cm (4’6”-5’8”) tall and weighing up to 181 kg (400 lbs).
